The institute is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and was founded in 2012 by CA and EA Jigar Shah, a professional with over 20 years of experience in the accounting, taxation and education sectors.
In the early years, Jigar Shah realised that students completing B.Com and M.Com struggled to find strong career opportunities due to a lack of practical accounting and taxation knowledge. To solve this gap and to help commerce students build safe, secure and stable careers, he took up the challenge of creating a specialised skill‑based learning platform — and that’s how Munimji began.
